Do you work with kids? My son, who is 8, got hit by a golf club and knocked out his front permanent tooth. He also lost some bone in his gum line. We are waiting for a spacer to come in. We understand he can\'t get a implant until he is 18. Our concern with the spacer is that it won\'t look natural. If we aren\'t satisfied, we are willing to travel to get the best treatment possible. My name is Christine. I am a 47 years old mother of four daughters. Up until a few years ago, I worked for the same company for 19 years. The company I worked for underwent an investigation in 2011, and as a result, closed in 2014 without warning. I have had an extremely difficult time finding work, so I used my savings to keep my family in a small home and fed the past few years while trying to find a decent job. I have had a very hard time, and now we lost our last vehicle. We have sold everything or value, and simply have nothing left. A few years prior to my employer closing, my husband started acting strangely. It took many different doctors and hospitals to determine he is schizophrenic, and in December 2013 he was let go from his job do to complaints from co workers. He is unable to provide for me or the kids. I have worked hard my entire life, and everything we built is now gone. My inability to find work has something to do with my age, and limited resume, but it also has to do with how I now look. I used to have perfect teeth, but a few years after my last child, now 12, I had a miscarriage at 20 weeks. A few months later, I noticed my teeth had started deteriorating at an alarming pace. Prior to that I never had a cavity. It started on one side, and then the other. I went to a dentist in 2010 who accused me of being on meth they were so bad. I was extremely insulted, as I don’t even know what that is, and left. To complicate things further, In high school, during a soccer game, I was kicked in the face and broke several bottom teeth. The dentist back then did something called bonding, and about two years ago what ever they did, just fell out, which caused my bottom front teeth to start decaying, and now Almost every tooth in my mouth is half gone and decayed. It is so embarrassing. I hate even talking to people, and I know it effects my chances of getting hired. In 2013, I did see a dentist, who did temporary crowns on the front 8 teeth on the top. Unfortunately, the company I worked for closed a short time later, and I could never go back for the permanent crowns. Last night my dog hit me in the chin and cracked my two front temporaries. So, now I have to walk around looking completely hideous. My confidence and self esteem are already suffering from everything else, and I can’t lose the only half way decent part of my smile I had left. I used to smile all the time. I was friendly and outgoing, and now I dread having to even talk to people. I refuse to go to the doctor when I am sick because I don’t want them to see my mouth. I can’t look like this any more. I am afraid I will get sick and die, and my kids already lost their dad. With everything that has happened, my credit is terrible so I can’t get financing to fix it. I just want to have the confidence to walk into a potential employer and get a job so I can take care of my family. My experience is marketing, and my teeth are a huge obstacle to finding work. I am a really hard worker, and although I don’t have money, I am doing what I can to pay basics. I can put a few hundred dollars down, and I can pay money every month. I just want to look like myself again. I hate how I look right now. I don’t want dentures, and I know crowns, bridges and things like that are very expensive. I will pay every single month until they are paid for. I just need someone to help me so I can take care of my family. We have no one to help us. I am highly organized, and recently friends and family have asked me to help with projects such as organizing a garage, organize files and digitize important docs, and I just got a request to organize someone’s office. That said, if any cleaning or organizing assistance is needed at your office, I can barter to pay for some of it as well. I am very good at it. I just need someone to help me so I can work. Good Morning, I was wondering if you did tooth contouring, and what the average price for that procedure would be? I would love to take off a few mm from my front tooth. I know that it is seldom recommended, however, aside from the insecurity that stems from my large front teeth, I also have a white spot on my front left that I have had my entire life. By shortening these teeth is would also take away majority of the white spot, making it exceptionally less noticeable. Hi there. I am a student at UT Austin looking for some dental services. After a childhood fall, the gums on one side of my mouth came down a little, and now when I smile, the top right portion of my gums are slightly exposed. I really dislike it and am looking for a dentist who can surgically remove a smart part of my gum or somehow even out my smile. I have an emergency. About three years ago, I had temporaries put on my top front eight teeth. A month later, my employer of 16 years closed without any warning at all. We didn’t get our last paychecks even. Shortly after that, my husband’s developing mentall illness caused him to lose his job. I have not been able to find a good job, and I really think it is my smile that is the issue. I work in marketing, and how I look is important, and unfortunately, that has been my job for the past 16 years. A few days ago, my dog jumped up and hit my under the chin and knocked a temporary off. The only decent part of my smile was those 8 top teeth. I look completely awful, and I will never find work like this. I am looking for someone who can do something very inexpensive, even if it’s temporary, to fix the front tooth that just fell off. I have heard bonding might be an option. I have an interview Monday and I really think I would be perfect for this job, but I will not even have a chance looking like this. I know it sounds awful and vain, but that’s just how marketing goes. I haven’t had a job in so long that I don’t have much money, but I will pay every single week or month, whatever is required. I also do organizing and marketing contract work, which I am willing to exchange for services as well. I eventually want to fix my entire smile, but I know that’s not possible until I get a job. I don’t even feel like myself anymore, and I know this has effected my confidence greatly. Please let me know if you can help. |

I have recovered from the entire cancer treatment. During my treatment I literally lost some teeth due to the chemo treatment. I was too embarrassed to share and or tell anyone even though I was eating lunch and a person with me observed my tooth coming out. Hey there! I\'m interested in a consultation. I have seen 3 or 4 dentists already and have had a variety of suggestions on what to do with my smile. Dr. Schiro has such great reviews I wanted to get one last consultation. Essentially, I have a bad bite, crowded bottom teeth, and some bone loss from periodontal issues that came about when I was low income and had no dental insurance. The major thing I want to get fixed is the appearance of my upper 6 front teeth. One doctor recommended I get my wisdom teeth out (to make space) followed by 2 years of Invisalign, another told me I could do veneers on my upper teeth and traditional ortho on my bottom teeth, and another told me my bite was so bad there was no way I was a candidate for veneers or Invisalign and refused to help me, told me I would need to see a very good orthodonist and that I would need braces for at least 3 years. I have x-rays and images from my latest consultations taken within the last month. Would love to know your opinion for a treatment plan. While I\'m not resistant to the idea of orthodontics, I was hoping to get the appearance of my upper front teeth improved this year. Thanks for any help! |
